What You Will Learn

This advanced course is designed to help clinicians refine the ILF Neurofeedback process with greater precision and achieve more effective, individualized training outcomes for their clients. Participants will deepen their understanding of frequency optimization as a step-by-step clinical process, learning how to identify arousal indicators, interpret client responses, and make thoughtful adjustments based on the evolving presentation during and between sessions.

A central focus of the course is the selection and refinement of specific training sites, beyond the basic protocols. Participants will explore alternate, more specific protocols and how they relate to different clinical patterns, including arousal dysregulation, instability, trauma-related symptoms, disinhibition, and localized dysfunction. The course will also address when to stay with a standard starting protocol, when to shift sites, and how to recognize when a client’s response suggests the need for a different training strategy.

Participants will also develop a more nuanced understanding of the lower frequency ranges and the process of optimizing the individual training frequency. This includes learning how to proceed through frequency adjustments step by step, recognize signs of over- or under-arousal, distinguish transient training effects from meaningful clinical indicators, and use client feedback to guide the next clinical decision. Specific software parameters and their relationship to the neurofeedback process will also be discussed, helping clinicians understand how technical choices support clinical goals.

Through clinical discussion, case examples, and case-based problem solving, participants will have the opportunity to explore protocol optimization challenges for both straightforward and complex clients. The goal is to strengthen clinical reasoning, increase confidence with advanced protocol decisions, and help practitioners refine treatment plans in a way that is responsive, precise, and clinically grounded.

More than two weeks before the course start date: You may receive a refund, minus a 10% administrative fee.
Within two weeks of the course start date, but at least 24 hours before the course begins: Your payment is non-refundable; however, the full amount may be transferred to a future course or applied as a credit toward another course or mentoring service.
Less than 24 hours before the course begins: Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be applied toward future courses, mentoring, or other services.

Neurotopia reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrollment or other circumstances that may affect course delivery. If Neurotopia cancels a course, participants may choose to receive a full refund of the amount paid or transfer the full amount as a credit toward another Neurotopia course or mentoring service.
